As a business driven by environmental protection, we now offer carbon neutral deliveries as part of our commitment to helping clients with their carbon footprint and our own sustainability goals.

Why are our deliveries carbon neutral?

Climate change is a challenge facing everyone. We feel partly responsible for the emissions created by our deliveries and as a responsible business we want to do something about it.

A good carbon offset compensates harmful emissions by paying for a project to reduce the equivalent emissions elsewhere, for example replacing a coal-fire electricity plant with wind turbines. Because emissions are dispersed throughout the atmosphere, this compensates for the carbon footprint we are unable to reduce.

At Frog Environmental, we recognise we have a duty to minimise our environmental impact and to help our customers to do this. We work hard to reduce our business travel emissions and enable delivery methods with the least impact. We do however recognise that there remains an impact upon our environment, which is why we are working with a robust, quality offsetting scheme to counteract the carbon element that we cannot reasonably reduce any further.

How does it work?

We have partnered with a highly credible carbon offset provider which takes the carbon equivalent of our deliveries and offsets them against sustainable projects taking place around the world.

Rated Best for the World B Corp, we’ve carefully chosen to support Clear. It is the only carbon offset provider to have achieved Quality Assurance Standard (QAS) Certification for all of its carbon offset products, and is audited annually.

How is carbon calculated on our deliveries?

We follow a robust process to calculate CO2 emitted through the delivery of your products.

We calculate the miles travelled from our manufacturing base to your site and multiply this by the government greenhouse gas emission factor for the means of transport used.

This calculates the specific amount of CO2 per pallet, which generates the fee shown on your quote that is paid to Clear to fund their carbon offsetting projects.
