Silt Mats typically last between two and six months in active use, depending on exposure, water flow, and sediment load. They will biodegrade over time, but we recommend regular checks and replacement if signs of clogging or wear appear.

In high-flow areas, combining mats with additional control measures may be necessary. Silt Mat must be properly weighted to withstand high flow conditions.
