Free phosphorus, collection only

Some may say that monitoring phosphate loading in a beautiful river urbanised catchment containing infrastructure of national importance sounds a bit dull, to those people we say.. pah! Following a year and half of monitoring, data collected by the Citizen Crane project led by Friends of The River Crane Environment (FORCE) is being used in Source Apportionment GIS (SAGIS) modelling by the Environment Agency. The project, which is led by FORCE has been supported by frog environmental and has been a showcase as to what can be achieved with a strong Citizen Science network. The level of monitoring and the level of accuracy and confidence achieved in data has allowed the data to be used to accurately to help direct limited resources to where they are most needed in the catchment. Citizen Crane is into its 2nd full year of sampling.
