Pipe Flocculator
Pipe Reactor
Pipe Reactor is a mobile water treatment system that works with our flocculant in a controlled environment.

At under 2.5 m in length, Pipe Reactor connects into any 2″, 3” or 4″ pump hose to treat up to 1,800 litres of silty water per minute by mixing it with our flocculant.
This innovative system is designed to house Clearflow Gel Flocculant™ blocks, precisely controlling mixing and reaction time through pump flow rate and hose length. The result is consistent, effective treatment of dirty water on site.
As silty water passes through the Pipe Reactor, fine suspended solids and other pollutants are bound together by Gel Flocculant, making them easier to capture, separate and remove before they can reach nearby watercourses.
When used alongside our Silt Capture Channel, the Pipe Reactor is particularly effective at polishing water and removing fine particles associated with clay soils.
Pipe Reactor applications include:
- Treating stubborn silty water from construction ponds, lagoons and waterbodies
- Excavation pump out and dewatering
- Wash bay water treatment
- Quarrying operations
- Improved settlement in attenuation ponds and lagoons
- Pond clarification
Key Benefits
Modular water treatment for construction & remediation projects
Low cost
Water is treated for as little as 0.05- 0.09p* per m3 which brings a significant cost saving compared with traditional methods of water treatment such as hired tanks.
No infrastructure needed
Easy to install onsite, unscrew steel fittings to replace Gel Flocculant blocks.
Robust design, trusted for a decade
Made of heavy duty recycled PVC piping with steel fittings, it is built to last.
Mobile and adaptable
Sites are a dynamic and constantly changing environment. The Pipe Reactor is designed to be easily moved as site’s water treatment points evolve.
Reuse across multiple sites
A Pipe Reactor is a long-lasting bit of kit which can be reused across many sites, lowering your long term operational costs.
Rapid response & zero carbon delivery
Our team pride themselves on a quick turn around time and carbon neutral delivery service.
Technical specification of our Pipe Reactor:
Dimensions | 2200mm (L), 250mm barrel, 4” bauer connections |
Flow rate | Max flow is 1,800 litres/minute. When it is used with a Silt Capture Channel, each channel has a typical max flow rate of 900 litres/minute. Optimal flow rate is site specific and effective treatment may require lower flow rates. Our technical team can help you with this. |
Made from | 100% recyclable materials. HDPE barrel, steel fittings |
Use with | Our Clearflow Gel Flocculant™ (comes in a solid gel block form for easy handling and replenishment) |
Treatment rate | Treatment rates vary depending on volume and frequency of water on site. Typically blocks last 30 days when pumped, longer when treatment is passive. |
*Water treatment cost for a system using a Pipe Reactor and Silt Capture Channel is estimated at 0.09p per m3 of water in year one and 0.05p per m3 from year two onwards. Calculations are based on assumptions of flow rate at 1,800 l/min, operating 8 hours a day, 260 days per year at around c225k cubic metres of water.
