Frog Environmental receives three Environmental Awards at Kensington Palace

We are celebrating a significant milestone in environmental excellence by winning numerous International Green Apple Environment Awards.

Run by The Green Organisation, these awards are presented to organisations which are committed to sustainable and innovative environmental practices.

Since 2017, we have worked with Winvic Construction on over a hundred construction sites, setting out to achieve new benchmarks for water quality standards using sustainable and long term solutions to mitigate silt pollution and protect nearby watercourses.

The independent judging panel of The Green Apple Awards commented that we have pioneered sustainable silt management in construction with their ‘Rain Ready’ water treatment system, reducing costs and CO2 emissions. Collaborating with Winvic, they’ve improved water quality and biodiversity, while offering free CPD and supporting community initiatives, driving sustainability and innovation across the industry.

International winners

Selected from over 1,200 nominations worldwide, we received our special accolade at a glittering awards ceremony held at Kensington Palace in London in late November. The event brought together world leading innovators in sustainability to exchange ideas, inspire others and further global environmental stewardship.

We received awards for:

  • Gold Winner – Building & Construction: Pollution & Emission Reduction
  • Silver Winner – Building & Construction: Innovation
  • Silver Winner – Building & Construction: Habitat & Diversity

As part of this achievement, we have been invited to further our success as a Green World Ambassador. This honour includes the publication of our award-winning environmental project in The Green Book, an internationally recognised reference on environmental best practices. Through this publication, we hope to inspire and guide others worldwide to adopt sustainable solutions.

Green World Ambassador winner 2024

Earlier in the year we were named Green World Ambassador 2024 for our efforts in another project using ground-breaking technology to support protected salmon.

The Green Apple Awards are organised by The Green Organisation, a respected independent, non-profit environmental group established in 1994. Dedicated to recognising, rewarding, and promoting environmental best practices worldwide, the organisation’s efforts have grown to highlight the critical importance of sustainable action in today’s world.

“Winning these awards are testament to our commitment to the environment and our collaboration with Frog Environmental over the past 7 years. Our partnership has provided a positive impact through the upskilling and knowledge sharing of issues in relation to silt to our site teams. Frog know how to capture our teams’ attention and provide simple but effective solutions. Thank you for the positive impact you have on us and ensuring we are Doing It Right.”

Amit Patel, Senior Environmental Manager at Winvic

“Surface water runoff has become increasingly common on sites as construction companies battle year-round wet weather. This brings elevated risk of pollution to local watercourses caused by the mobilisation of soils by construction activity.

We invented a Rain-Ready water treatment system to help combat these challenges, and we’re grateful to Winvic for working with us to pioneer new ways that deliver sustainable and innovative techniques which has helped bring demonstrable change to industry practices across the UK and has protected many watercourses.

We are extremely proud to be recognised globally for our efforts, and look forward to continuing our work with Winvic to set further benchmarks for environmental excellence.”

Another of our groundbreaking solutions that helps bind silt particles together to make it easy to remove silt from surface water is Gel Flocculant. We’re proud to work with overseas partners Clearflow Group to bring this innovation to the UK.
